Rehabilitation after pneumonia, including COVID-19

After bacterial and virus pneumonia especially COVID-19 , many patients experience a variety of problems with normal functioning. To help our patients overcome these problems our specialists developed a 10 day rehabilitation program. This program is held on the out-patient basis and it will help patients who applied for it:

• to restore the respiratory functions of the body;  

• to normalize the metabolism;  

• to manage stress better;  

• to restore the body's vitality; 

• to cope with the symptoms that usually accompany patients after viral pneumonia (weakness, asthenia, impaired cognitive functions, difficulty with the perception of information, reduced immunity, anxiety);

Aims of the program

• treatment of respiratory diseases and prevention of complications - viral (including coronavirus) pneumonia;

• rehabilitating impact on the cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous and other systems of the body to improve their function and maintain overall physiological performance;

• recovery of working capacity, treatment of asthenic syndrome (after viral asthenia).

The procedures included in the rehab program have anti-inflammatory, desensitizing, bacteriostatic effects, they improve lungs blood supply, promote the activation of adaptive mechanisms of respiratory and cardiovascular systems and reduce the severity of pathological autoimmune processes in the body.

Important!

The program is created personally for each patient, taking into account the indications, contraindications and compatibility of procedures.

Contraindications:

• hyperthermia (body temperature above 37.3 C);

• positive tests for COVID-19 (PCR study or rapid test for IgM antibodies);

• diseases with pronounced inflammatory syndrome (in the acute phase or acute stage);

• exacerbation or decompensation of any chronic diseases;

• chronic heart failure (stages 2B and higher);

• contact with patients with VRI

Required documents to apply for the program:

• discharge summary or referral letter with information about your COVID-19 disease, pneumonia;

• GP report;

• required tests results (no more than 14 days ago): An ECG, CBC, recent CT scan or chest X-ray;
